It has been a few years since I used PowerPoint, however, this book is the perfect refresher. It is also a great way for beginners to learn many useful functions in PowerPoint. The topics follow a logical progression, but, the structure of the book allows topics and functions to be accessed in whatever order suits the reader. The graphics are clear in the Kindle version of the book, the text formatting assists in readability, and the step-by-step approach provides clarity in learning new ways to use PowerPoint. The author has taken great care to ensure that the explanations apply for versions of PowerPoint from 2007 to date. The most impressive part of the book is that it is supported by 25 short tutorial videos that demonstrate how to apply the concepts. This is a great resource. I highly recommend this book to anyone that works with PowerPoint.
Before reading tgis book, I knew very little about using PowerPoint, but the quick and well-written lessons on each new feature made it easy to create a presentation that looked more sophisticated than anything I've attempted before. I knew this was a good bet after reading the same author's books on Excel and Word, but I learned more than I expected, and the book was an easy and enjoyable read. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in learning how to make the most of Microsoft PowerPoint --whether they're a newbie to presentation software or just new to PowerPoint. The book even includes links to helpful videos that the author made to help the reader learn each lesson well by demonstrating the use of each feature. The author thought of everything!

She seems to have quite a handle on technical training for beginners & advanced users that need a refresher or update on new function.
When I'm looking for software training, I love using books that show screenshots. That way I can tell if I'm on the right track. And this guide definitely delivers in that department!I also liked the Quick Tips. I've been using PowerPoint for many years. But even I got some helpful tips.Heads up: The book really requires a tablet or desktop computer for best viewing and use. But that's to be expected with a screenshot-intensive book like this. And you'd probably most likely use it there anyway.Definitely helpful!
Where to begin? I'm absolutely in awe! Who knew you could do so much in Power Point? Granted - I'm no expert. But now I feel like one. Did you know you can record audio in PP? What about animation? Yes! What's even better is this is a FUN way to learn this program and the videos take it to a new higher level. I can't thank the author enough. I have all her books.
I have used Powerpoint for many years and now have a better understanding through Amelia’s teaching. She definitely her stuff and, more importantly, she know how to teach. If you want to take your knowledge to the next level, this book is for you.

This book is well organized so you can go directly to the feature you need or are looking for (and the screenshots are invaluable). Using an older version? No worries. The author has notated the differences. Consider this book your valuable guide to PowerPoint! And the large print is so easy to read!
I found this book to be very helpful and would highly recommend it, whether you are new to PowerPoint, or even if you already use it, the book applies to every level from beginner to advanced. I especially liked the companion videos at the end of each chapter to see demonstrations too. Very good book!
