Too many characters making it difficult to follow at times. Editing was done by an illiterate. Not a legal thriller. Pages of graphic sexual encounters belong in a sex manual. Tempted several times to not continue reading. I would have given only one star had I actually purchased this book but considering that I got to read for free through "unlimited" I gave it 2 stars.
It took a long time for me to get to the point of feeling that excitement of wondering how this story is going to end. To begin with, for me it had too many characters to keep track of. Many times there were long gaps in between when the character was first introduced and his/her appearance again. Once I got to that excitement stage, I really enjoyed the rest of the book. One thing that I noticed throughout the book is that, for some reason I don't understand, the author seemed to think that knowing whether the character is black or white was important. It seemed to me that it distracted from the whole story.
What a great idea for a really good book. Unfortunately the author has no idea how to write it. I can't even finish this book. Many of the chapter breaks make so sense, the editing is just plain awful and it jumps around so much you can get lost and lose the story line. I hope this author will take a good look at this and rewrite it into a really good story.
‘Right to an Attorney’ was a story about criminal mastermind, Dexter Parker, and the adventures he faced while being under investigation for multiple high level crimes, including murder and stealing billions of dollars from rich investors. Parker had many people on his trail, but to their dismay, he always appeared to be ’10 steps ahead of them’.Along with dodging the police and his enemies, Parker is also dealing with a complicated love triangle that just happens to involve himself and two of his attorneys!As the story wears on and the plot continues to thicken, Parker deals with conflict after conflict, to the point that at times, he seems like he may face conviction after all. The story ends with an interesting climax, and the reader is left wondering what will come next in Part 2.Overall, I think that this was a great psychological thriller. Parker comes across as extremely intelligent, and it is enjoyable to see him get himself out of sticky situations. The only thing that I found slightly difficult was the fact that there were so many characters that it was hard to follow the story line at times, but it didn’t necessarily take away from the story. I would definitely be interested in the next book by this author. Great job.
I have read many thrillers, not to mention the movies I happen to enjoy. This book can hang with them all. Seriously. I mean, you got a guy who stole billions of dollars and then set himself up to be the victim of identity fraud. The FBI didn’t know what to do with him.His lawyers are two sexy women (whom I’d love to meet) and he has offered them $3 million each if he is not convicted. So you know they are on his side. But he’s attracted to them both, and that’s one of the few mistakes I can see that he made.By the time he is charged for stealing the billions, one of his lawyers goes missing. She’s been kidnapped, and she lets him know that she’s pregnant with his first child. But Dexter has an appointment in the courtroom, and he has to come up with one last trick if he is to have a chance at sacrificing himself and all the money in the world for his unborn.This is the best book I have read in a very long time. And I do not say that lightly. Great job.
Smutty, unnecessary graphic sex. Didn't care about the characters, didn't like the story.
A multi-channel story line. The story keeps moving back and forth between multi-story characters and story lines. This can be a bit confusing with so many story characters and story lines.
Curious about the author. Book seemed to be written by a teenager, who was pretending to be African American. Language seemed very juvenile and the sex scenes were laughable. Don't waste your time, unless you're 15.
