My kid loves Franklin - the books have simple, yet meaningful stories and are beautifully illustrated. There is enough detail in the illustration that we spend three-four times the amount of time it takes to read the story investigating, debating and talking what each of the other characters are doing. Absolutely great beddtime stories - the kid won't go to sleep without a Franklin tale now.
Franklin celebrates Halloween and can't decide on a costume, makes his own valentine's for Valentine's Day, wants to find that perfect Christmas gift for his mother and celebrates Thanksgiving. I could not find this books individually, so this volume is so nice as they are altogether.
My grandson is addicted to Franklin books! Such sweet stories! He wants to have them read to him by any available adult.
My son loved the fellowship of the Franklin stories and did not mind the gentle lessons they impart. Highly recommended.

My four-year-old loves the Franklin the Turtle stories, and so do I. The stories emphasize the importance of family and friendships and most have a moral lesson to impart. In this particular collection, there are four Franklin stories covering Halloween, Valentine's Day, Christmas and Thanksgiving. The full-color illustrations are gorgeous and many are full-page illustrations which enhances the reading experience, especially when one is reading the stories aloud to younger readers, such as toddlers and preschoolers. I highly recommend the Franklin stories to young readers, especially preschoolers.
